THE KISS

	‘The Kiss’ was originally inspired by the Gustav Klimt painting of the same name which is one of my favorite works. I have spent many hours staring at a huge print of ‘The Kiss’ during periods of writer’s block, and have been inspired time and time again by the beauty and magic Klimt captures. In this piece I have attempted to musically express the essence of the emotions which are so incredibly powerful between a couple leading up to the first moment when their lips meet. The most wonderful tension between the two bodies is almost too much to bear, as the heart pounds, until the final moment.
