Amanaska Music Viva Workshop for kids

Amanaska will take you on an inspirational and visually unique journey from the traditional to the contemporary, the ethnic to the local and the acoustic to the digital.

Amanaska are the latest ensemble from Australia’s leader in music education, Musica Viva In Schools. Mixing old with new, acoustic with digital music Amanaska are changing the face of music education in Victoria.

Amanaska getting Naked

Simon with be joined by Janine and James from Naked Raven for one off show at the Tranquility Base Centre in Ocean Grove on Friday June 25th. Janine's vocals can be heard on Circles and Panorama and will be showcasing some of the new songs from album 3. Visit the live page for details.

Back to work on Album 3

I am back in the zone again working to complete album 3 at the beach studio. Most of it has come together nicely but have been wrestling with a couple of songs to get them into shape for release:) I hope to have some samples up soon.

Recording Sessions with KV Balu

K.V. Balu, who plays tabla and Indian percussion on Circles and Freedom Deluxe was recently in Perth with the Laya Project opening the Perth International Arts Festival. I headed over and did some recording sessions for the new album. Superb musician! Check out the Laya Project DVD!

1 Giant Leap Sessions

Duncan Bridgeman from 1 Giant Leap was recently in Australia promoting the new film 'What About Me' and joined with Amanaska on stage at Loop in Melbourne and a secret show in Byron Bay. Duncan interviewed Simon at BayFM in Byron Bay.

Opening The Ethnic Business Awards in Sydney

Amanaska performed at the opening of the Ethnic Business Awards in Sydney which will be telivised on SBS in Australia and to an audience of 60 milliion worldwide.Kevin Rudd was the special guest and Simon was joined by Jono Callow and Pin Rada on stage.
